Junior Superintendent (Raj Bhasha) (Group B) - Tier 1 Exam Pattern and Syllabus

Examination Pattern

  1. The three (3) hour examination will comprise of multiple choice questions with one correct answer.
  2. One (1) mark will be awarded for each correct answer and minus one by three (-1/3) mark for each incorrect answer.
  3. The unanswered questions will not attract negative marks.
  4. Question paper will have two sections namely General Section and Post Related General Awareness & Aptitude Section.

General Section (50 Marks)

Syllabus

  • English Language and Comprehension: English Grammar, Sentence Correction and Completion, Paragraph Summary, Reading Comprehension & Inferences, Verbal Analogies & Critical Reasoning.
  • Mathematics & Numerical Ability: Arithmetic - up to 10th Standard. Numerical Computation, Numerical Reasoning, Data Reasoning and Data Interpretation.
  • General Awareness and Current Affairs: Current Affairs, Government Schemes, Economics, Geography, Indian History, Indian Polity, Indian Constitution - up to 10th Standard.
  • Logical Reasoning: Number/Alphabet Series, Reasoning Analogies, Relations.
  • Computer Proficiency: Knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office, Internet, and email system.

Post Related General Awareness & Aptitude Section (50 Marks)

Syllabus

  1. Knowledge of UNICODE and computer skill (Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Email etc.) and tools available for translations.
  2. Knowledge of Translation from English-to-Hindi and vice-versa for Technical matter/Vyavaharik Anuvad, Literary Translation/ Prashasnik Anuvad.
  3. Rajbhasha Niyamavali.
  4. Transcreation in English/Hindi, Passages for translation i.e. Hindi-to-English, And English-to-Hindi, Questions for understanding Hindi Languages and literature.
  5. Hindi - Vyakaran (Grammar).

Junior Superintendent (Raj Bhasha) (Group B) Tier 2 Exam Pattern and Syllabus

Max Marks: 50

Duration: 1 hour

Computer Based Test:

  1. Hindi Typing skill test to test typing efficiency and quality. (20 Marks)
  2. English to Hindi and Hindi to English Translation. (10+10 Marks)
  3. Essay writing in Hindi for testing drafting and writing skill. (10 Marks)
